How long is a product good after the expiration date?

It depends on the type of date. Best Before is a quality recommendation: yogurt, canned food, pasta are usually still fine — check appearance, smell, taste. Use By is a safety deadline (raw meat, fish, prepared meals): do not consume after.

Date Limite uses Open Food Facts, the largest open food database (3M+ products). When you scan, the app retrieves the photo, name, and category. Unknown products can be added by you, growing the database for everyone.

Accepted Answer

A free app almost always means ads, tracking, or freemium. The one-time fee of 0,99 € pays for the Apple license, OVH hosting, and the domain. No ads, no subscription, no dark patterns. A deliberate choice.
